Staggering statistics reveal that white families possess 22 and 41 times more wealth than median Latinx and Black families, respectively. Researchers estimate it could take Black and Latinx families up to 242 years to match the average wealth of white families in 2016. As American wealth increasingly concentrates, the idea that Black leaders can help shrink the racial wealth gap through workplace stewardship deserves attention.
